New Bike - Display model

They only have a display model left, is there anything I should be checking for to make sure its ok? Im assuming should be OK as wont have been used at all out of the store?

Nice bike but halfords assembly can be hit or miss.

Great bike BTW. However, you might find that the display model has been used to test in their car park. Check the tyres for use (dirty rather than wear). Also, check seatpost to see if it has wear from being put in lots of different positions. If any of these are evident , it is not a problem, but you could negotiate a discount

Thanks DooDah - im getting new tyres put on so shouldnt be a problem, also already got 10% off.

I got the Team Hybrid last year & had problems with the wheels so took it to my LBS - will do the same with the above straight away to get it checked out.

Yes, very sensible, you will have an excellent bike then. I bought my Boardman last year, and I have to say it is excellent value for money. Enjoy

It depends what Halfords it is. Some say no, but others allow you a spin around their car park. It still does not mean they are any good at putting bikes together but at least you can check it.

Check it over very carefully to check no damage to the frame

The bike will need to checked over by the mechanic before it leaves the shop (well, at least that what should happened procedure wise).

Saying that, try see if a discount can be done or 10% of the bike value in accessories.
