Is it the same the other side of the fork?
If not, looks like you can just push a screwdriver through to pop it out.

You could wait a few weeks and have it done as part of your 1st service/checkover?
That way you won't have to go back twice in quick succession.

Nice bike btw, almost as nice as my CX

No, theres no hole the other side at all.

Here's a few pics from mine...
Full bike, back in the days when it had a working chain (i.e before this morning), and a couple showing the front guard. No hole in the front so you won't be able to push anything through... the second shows where my guard screws in.

Oh, and here's what I had to do to the stay to get around the disc brake unit if you plan to use SKS chromoplastics or similar.

The alternative is to do what I do and use a combination of zip ties and P-clips to fit your mudguards.

d.

You can definitely do this, but it defeats the purpose of buying a bike specifically capable of mounting guards without having to mess with zips and p-clips.
I'd definitely take it back... give them a call... if they've got one in stock they should just be able to swap the forks over as a minimum, or possibly replace the whole bike. Assume the hole at the rear is present and correct?

Thanks for those pics,
The holes in the back are correct its just the one missing from the front.
I think I may give them a call later and see what they say

There is no hole at the front of the forks, the hole in the rear of the forks is threaded and it's covered by over spray of paint, just pop it off and use a bolt (I forget the thread size) to to screw in to clear the threads

Norman's right! lol....
Its not a cap its just covered with paint.
Ive just poked a screwdriver through it and can now see the hole!

Thanks - that saved me an embarrassing trip to halfords!
