When I was in my late teens my mates and I were in a bar on Rose Street in Edinburgh. Behind the bar was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen in my life! She was so beautiful I decided I just had to tell her, but I didn't want it to come across like a chat-up line and spoil it.

After we left the bar I went back in and asked to speak to her. I said "I just wanted you to know that you are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life. I don't drink, I've never said this to anyone else and so that you know it's not just a cheap chat-up line I'm just going to leave".

Then I walked out of the pub and I've never seen her again.
