At the other end of the spectrum we have such things as child abuse which is rightly not accepted. I would simply put the activities of that website down at that end of the spectrum.
Apologies for having a view on the subject.

By equating the legal game of airsoft with child abuse then you come across as a bit of a tosser. And if you can't see why then that just makes you more of a tosser.

Paintballing hurts no one and is entirely legal. Furthermore, it's voluntary to take part. Why, Over the Hill, you feel you have a duty to have some kind of problem with people doing stuff like this beats me. And as for equating it with child abuse ...

What exactly do you want me to say?
You have been asked quite a lot of questions in this thread, so answering those, perhaps ...

90% of people say I was wrongly arrested, 5% dont care, and 5% think im a terrorist
I haven't seen anyone suggest you're a terrorist. Some of us have suggested that you were somewhat lacking in commonsense given the paranoid times in which we live.

Where do you draw a line..

Look at the pic on the right http://airsoftgunplanet.blogspot.com/

The point was really being made that if you copy the actions of a terrorist then you cannot really complain that you are mistaken for one.

The fact that I called then Morons is really not the issue. I accept the activity was legal but then so was foxhunting. I feel that there is a point when an activity crosses a line and acting like a terroist is rather near that line.

You seem to be continually confusing activities which impact on other creatures (child abuse, foxhunting) with paintballing, which hurts no one.

Well its quite simple really, 6ft tall guy wearing bulletproof armour, carrying a a weapon capable of firing 800 rounds a minute, plus carrying one of the worlds most reliable pistols, walks right upto you - what do you do? Talk to him or walk away?

So I was copying the actions of a terrorst, when I was arrested by the police?

The reason I havnt replied is because I cant be arsed dealing with speculation - Over the hill claiming I was acting like a terrorist, other people claiming I was carrying a bomb etc etc etc - people have a habit on forums of theorising something then running with it, and assuming they are correct.

paintballing, which hurts no one.

Youv never been hit in the nuts with a paintball

If you were told there was a specific threat on Horseguards Parade, would you feel any differently about the whole [sorry] affair?

From your site:

"When I was walking through Horse Guards parade, an armed police officer wondered upto me (Well, he could have just been patrolling, who knows?), so I just start speaking to him - I ask him the usual stuff like hows he doing and hows his day going, he says its really hot and he wishes he was at home instead of out here in this heat, carrying all his stuff (He had a rather large MP5). I ask him how long does he have to stand around in this heat(*), he says a few hours yet, I ask him cant you hide in the shade(*), he says no he can’t."

So you started speaking with him, not the other way around, and specifically you start asking him about where & when he patrols. Not illegal, but certainly not sensible.

I did not EQUATE airsoft with child abuse. I used the reference to child abuse as a universally unaccepted thing. I then made the point that in my view dressing up as a terrorist with a replica gun was down at the unacceptable end of the spectum. I was careful not to equate it just put it at that end of the scale.

Point is I am carefully putting Paintballing and Terrorism in two different compartments one accepted one not. There is then a point at which playing at being a terrorist is crossing the line into being something worrying. The website and a google of "airsoft" reveals a worrying culture.

People have agendas to play out. His web site is extremely well presented and I just suggest that this outcome is part of the process. If you are naive and take people at face value, especially those on an internet forum, you are open to be duped.

This is the particular message that I had in mind, pzychoman

Its not playing at being terrorists, its about having fun,and your connecting it to terrorists is rather rediculous.
