I notice Illaveago mentions frost.
This morning rain here and the outside temp. is 10C tho' inside stays resolutely at 18C. Strong winds also forecast at least for the morning.
Just been reading a biography of Terry Pratchett and when he worked at CEGB they sometimes debated important topics.

Morning all. Another hard frost overnight, but at least today I didn't have to bike to work in the cold. First coffee of the day consumed and I'm just going to faff around for the next three hours before getting the train to London to play at being a silly old man at the Velodrome. I'll be pleased just not to fall off.

Big pack of 160 pouches of cat food ordered. Might last a month ! My last order of 360 packs (late November) has been gobbled up !

MIL's house should finally exchange today. Just last minute panic with getting some furniture to a charity - SIL messed it up, so is having to get a couple of men with a van to take the furniture to the charity. MrsF round there now taking final meter readings

It's been 9 months since MIL passed, and its taken a long time to clear it out. We've still got too much stuff here that needs sorting and disposing of. MrsF has been going through huge piles of videos to check there is no family stuff on them.
