Hope they have her pain under control which at least is some comfort. :hugs:

Thanks, and yes, under as much control as they can. I came away with two conclusions:

1. Cancer's a nasty and unpleasant disease. It's the first time I've seen it up close and personal.
2. I'm full of admiration for the care staff who somehow remain cheerful and helpful despite their ward of terminally-ill patients.

And on another note I've just marked a student's assignment who's plagiarised from an online 'cheat essay website' ... which just happens to have been a very poor uploaded copy by another one of my past students. Who failed, badly.

Surely they would have noticed it has a) MY name on it and b) that the student couldn't even spell the module title correctly!

I'm trying to track down who uploaded it and I'll tear them a new ....hole PLUS just wait until the current student has the plagiarism meeting  The uploader didn't just upload their terrible assignment but also my module materials. Which are MY copyright - there will be a copyright claim going in once the plagiarism meeting's dealt with.

IF you're going to cheat, at least do it properly!

And I was a bad Reynard...

Forgot to wish @Jenkins a Happy Cake Day yesterday... :birthday:

Sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...

Thank you. I try not to make a fuss about cake day as I ran out of fingers, toes and other body parts to count the years on way too many years ago - even if each digit represents 2 years

After work this afternoon I spent some time splitting up my cake day present from my mum which was a 'winter warmer' pack from her local butcher consisting of some quality meats - pork chops, sausages, bacon, chicken breasts, etc - and filling the freezer with them.

What a lovely present! Bon appetit!!! :becool:

It's a regular and most welcome order. Things like the stewing steak will make 4 meals and the mince 3, so there's enough in the pack for at least 20 dinners and it's all good quality stuff.

Foodie gifts are the best. Followed by books and money / vouchers.

Managed to track down a report on the Davy Evans Memorial meeting at Aghadowey that's had the blokes on the Hot Rod groups all scratching their heads. They did turn up a date for me, but nothing else of any use.

Searching elsewhere though (namely asking an ebay seller I've had a few good dealings with) has paid off, and the relevant issue of Motoring News is on its way to me.

Hopefully it will have some mention of Paul in it, as I know (from an interview he did in another publication) that he started one of the races on the front row.
