Every so often my mum use to cook us rabbit. Quite like it though Mrs 73 it’s a no no , so don’t bother just for me. Not had any for years though a pub in York we use to do into did a nice rabbit pie. So use to have that but that’s been a good few years now too.

Some people can't think past the cute and furry aspect...

Me? I see it as the best form of revenge, eating a pest that does a heck of a lot of damage. And that just happens to be tasty to boot. :hungry:

Had a lovely supper of cold sliced lamb, peppers stuffed with lemon & garlic bulgur wheat, steamed pointy cabbage and shredded smoked beetroot.

Well, write it down boy ......
Yesterday I tripped up as I was climbing a fence. I fell backwards into a hawthorn hedge and banged my head.
Do you think my head hit -
A. A hawthorn itself
B. A wooden old farm gate post amongst the hawthorn hedge (there isn't another in a 100 yard stretch).
C. A metal part of gate furniture sticking out from the gate post

Answer C.

I now have a large lump on my head and a sore neck.

If it hadn't been so flaming cold, this morning's cycle commute would have been quite atmospheric with the mist and the dawn sunrise. As it was, I was more concerned about the ice build up on my gloves and 'sensitive' areas  Things soon improved when I was told there was a sausage roll and large slice of cake in the fridge specially saved from a colleague's birthday yesterday.

Well she did have a pet rabbit as a kid that she really loved , that and her mum is a bit of a snob so they never got brought up on anything seen as cheep cuts. Saying that she went veggie early on so tends to cook meat to death anyway.

With the ice build up in " sensitive areas " it sounds like there were two sausage rolls in the fridge today...

I'm at the exact opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to rabbits. I am a firm believer that they belong in a pie.

That and her mum is a bit of a snob so they never got brought up on anything seen as cheep cuts. Saying that she went veggie early on so tends to cook meat to death anyway.

Missing out on a lot of good, tasty stuff, then. Ox cheek makes THE BEST beef stew ever... :hungry: Really pleased to see pigs trotters in the butcher. That and some liver will make a fabulous pate.
