I also forgot to mention that I saw a pale blue Austin A35 last week. Very remiss of me.

Morning all. It's a lovely cold and clear morning here in this corner of Suffolk with just the sound of bins being emptied disturbing things earlier.

I think I'll treat myself to lunch out today.

I had the MG Maestro as well - it wasn't that bad a car for the time. The turbo diesel Maestro we had as a pool car at work on the other hand...

The MG turbo had rapid acceleration . A chap I used to work with races them .

My FIL had a 1275 one with a 3 speed gearbox . German technology for you ! What a daft idea . It screamed in the first two gears and plodded in the overdrive top gear . It was supposed to be the economy version . The oil pressure must have dropped to almost zero when it went into top gear.

Something that I thought I had lost turned up yesterday . The object was a thin plastic washer which goes at the bottom of a ahead set. I thought I had put it safely in a box but when I came to reassemble the forks it had disappeared. I looked for it high and low but couldn't find it . I thought that it might come with a new set of bearings bit it didn't . I eventually made something out of plastic to fit . Yesterday I was sawing a piece of wood when I noticed something circular lying on the floor . It was the missing washer ! That was over a week it had been in a different time zone .

Just finished butchering a very large haunch of Fallow deer , into a thick flank, tender heel, silverside, salmon cut, shin, topside and rump steak plus offcuts for a casserole .
Phew l'm in need of coffee !!

I have just had Heinz spaghetti on toast . To add a bit more flavour I added a couple of dollops of tomato ketchup . Georgie quite liked it he licked some sauce off my finger .

I think I could get into shuffleboard. Had a game with MrsF whilst out in Manchester on Sunday. It's like a mini curling on a long wooden board.
