The non-recycling wheelie bin has been moved to the front of the house ready for emptying on Monday. There's not much in there as I've been away a fair bit for the 6 weeks since it was last done, but something in there is starting to get a bit fragrant and goodness knows what it'll be like by the next collection in a couple of weeks time.

Feeling a lot better now thankfully. I missed a perfect day for cycling but caught up with my reading.

It's been a warm and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept moderately well, and had a lazy morning. Other than sweeping the ashes from the grate, I did diddly squat for a change!

Lovely luncheon of seeded toast, taramasalata, the last of the squishy camembert, plus fruit (including a very nice Navelina orange) and the obligatory :cuppa:

Spent an hour in the garden picking up the last of the mess I made the other day when felling those bullaces, and hauled in some deadfall and kindling. It was good exercise, but it was SO nice outside that it didn't *feel* like exercise.

Had hoped to throw my hat in the ring on the Bay of E for a Longines watch for my upcoming "significant" cake day, but Law of Sod, my internet connection hiccuped at just the wrong time, so I couldn't put a bid in. Aaaargh!

The football was a bit aaaargh as well.

Lovely supper of dhal soup, an egg mayonnaise sandwich and a cheesecake soufflé-stuffed pancake.

Just finished watching Crufts, and now I've got some paperwork that wants doing.

Don't forget to remind us nearer the date so we can have the virtual cake ready for you. I take it there's a '0' as the second digit (the first one does not need to be revealed)

First camping trip coming up at end of March. Off to Shell Island for two nights with a group of friends (MrsF's swimming buddies), Couple of the husbands go, so I've got some beer/camp fire mates now. The site isn't everyone's cup of tea - it's huge, but you pitch up where you like and it's easy to get a group together. It's also easy to get out of the way of other campers. It can be busy in school holidays as you'd expect.

We're also trying out Portmeirion's camper site for a night for the third night of our trip. Seems expensive at £55 pn but that includes admission to Portmeirion on the arrival day and the day of departure (you move the van to the car park after check out at 11am) - admission is about £20 each ! I've decided to book a meal on site, at the Castell Deudraeth in the evening as a treat (the menu is more extensive than the Hotel). You also have 'after hours' access to the village. So a pretty good bargain.

Forgot to mention, I spent a few hours in the garage doing a sort out on Saturday when MrsF was out at work, and daughter (the spy) was away, although daughter arrived home and saw a big pile of stuff for the tip - I was busted. I shouldn't be doing anything, but no-one would do it ! I loaded the van and took it to the tip. Got stopped as I'm in a 'van', but the guy said - "Is this a people carrier ?" - Yes I said, pressed the 'button' and the side door opened revealing a few bin bags and a load of cardboard and some old electrical stuff.

Sorted a load of the camping gear and I have some space to use the turbo when the docs say I can - not even trying it till I get a CT scan on my pelvis as it's pretty messed up.

I felt it yesterday afternoon - leg was getting sore etc. Not much pain from the fractures, but the muscles are giving me issues in my left leg - sore and weak. Supposed to be still non-weight bearing but two sticks are a pain. Still got another four weeks or so on the sticks before I get an 'appointment'. Daily injections are fun !
