Here are my models . The Scalextric Lotus 49 and my wooden model of a 49B. The B was slightly longer. I was surprised to see that my model isn't too far off what Scalextric came up with . My model was based on drawings from a Model Cars magazine from 1968.

A bright, still and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard. Temps down noticeably from the last couple of days, but still very pleasant nonetheless, now that the stiff north-westerly has gone.

Slept well, and have had a quiet morning. Refettled printer has been returned to the utility room for now, as I've caught up with the backlog of stuff that needed doing. I shan't be using it for a bit, as that batch of Motoring Newses has turned up. That's just a clip out and glue on plain paper job for any article that's of interest.

I plan on doing some lumberjilling this afternoon - the conditions are ideal to fell some dead trees I've spotted, so I shall take advantage of that.

First, it's time for luncheon, however. Mesdames Poppy and Lexi are telling me that they want their share of the ham.

Got out for a trike run but a stiff breeze and bitterly cold so did not go far.
Went to visit my wildlife pal and his access road surface has been massively improved.
Trouble is word has got round and lots of fancy cars are now racing up and down with people doing dog walks. When the road was badly potholed very few ventured up and unless traffic calming is introduced it will very soon be as bad as before. Before, anything above slow walking speed was dodgy but it is now in a state where rally speeds can be reached in street cars with much damage to the surface.
I suggested speed bumps but Forestry who own the road may not be happy with that. No space for chicanes either. Signs would simply be ignored if they even saw them.
Dilemma.
Earlier I tried ordering the pedals Raynard recommended from Decathlon. Never tried them before and will never again as they simply seem to be impossible to order from. There must be some way but it is beyond me.
Not a bad day tho’ I had to give myself a good kicking to get out initially.
