It's a mild, grey and breezy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept so-so. Bordering on too warm, but didn't want to remove the extra throw from the bed as I'll be needing it by Sunday again. This time of year, the weather doesn't know whether it's coming or going.

Did some gentle puttering about this morning. The cling film I ordered online turned up (I buy it in bulk) and Madam Poppy has already taken over the box. Madam Lexi is still enamoured of the box that my scanner arrived in the other week. However, I am currently being stared at by both, because it is very nearly Ham Time.

This afternoon I shall need to run some errands and restock all the wood bins in the house. I should have done it yesterday and didn't, and now they are very nearly empty.

I also had a cheeky offer accepted on a large batch of Motoring News issues from 1987 that I'd been watching for quite a while - there's 29 of them, so not a complete print run for the year. But recently the seller has been reducing the price each time they've been relisted, so I think they just wanted shot. Got them for just over 50p an issue (including postage) in the end, which I think is quite reasonable. They should go a long way to help plug the holes in some of my FF2000 records. And who knows, I may turn up some stuff that I never knew I was looking for LOL...

Anyways, it is time for luncheon.

Today I am continuing with my epic clean out of my den, buying a houseplant, going swimming with a friend, and continuing my “not a will” document for Mr Hebe. It has all the contact details for plumber, sparkie, washing machine repairer etc, plus car Insurance, my bank account, direct debits and all the paid subscription apps on my phone. What to do with my cameras and instruments and so on. Two funerals in two weeks has made me look very hard at my own life admin.

Is there an app?

Damp all day but not too windy.
A frustrating day as my toilet cistern has been getting a bit noisy after flushing and at the final bit of refill sounded like a jackhammer.
Phoned a local plumber who came in the afternoon and brought a new valve but access to the pipe underneath the cistern is not easy at the best of times and he is not exactly slim. When the wet room was done the guy who designed it said it was verging on illegal having so little space between the toilet and shower barrier.
Much swearing later it is now silent and will not disturb people hundreds of yards away.
I am also £40 lighter.

HID would have no clue.

No app for the list. It was straightforward enough once I got started. Not the most cheerful of tasks but at least it’s underway now. It was useful for me to go through the various subscriptions/direct debits and prune a couple out too.

They are talking about banning a song from rubbery matches because of the worms .
When you come to think about it a lot of the songs have sad lyrics yet they have very good melodies which we sing along to !

They can't ban The Yorkshire National Anthem!

Had a lovely supper of leek & potato soup, then a jacket potato with cheese and home made spicy Boston-style beans.
