I have a :cuppa: and the Mister has a lemsip (and a cold). Today is looking nicely mundane with enough of @Illaveago ‘s grey cloudy sky to justify spending it largely indoors.

I treated myself to a second breakfast in bed this weekend and will shortly go for a nice cycle soon looking for photo opportunities before the band later.

4 mile walk completed. Now enjoying a Peach Tea in prep for trudging out with the wife to go and look for a new 3-piece sofa. Oh the deep joy 🤦‍♂️

One of our local pubs has a board outside offering a free " Husband Creche " Your wife drops you off there and collects you after she has finished shopping. You could take refuge there and have your wife send photo's of the suitable candidate sofas for your approval.

@deptfordmarmoset I am in Broadstairs this afternoon for a rather stunning blues band at the Wrotham and its Blues Bash in Feb. Woohoo!

I've been to a blues festival in Broadstairs but that was a few years back so I don't remember which pubs were hosting. I think it was mostly venues nearer the harbour. By coincidence, though, I parked in Wrotham Road, just around the corner from the Wrotham Arms.

Morning.
Well! I did a bit of the bird count yesterday but the results weren't representative of what we normally get . We even had a Grey Wagtail! We had a Pied one before Christmas , we used to get quite a few years ago . I saw a couple of Chaffinches and a Greenfinch. Last year we had about 5 of each . When I went out later in the afternoon to investigate a load of Wood pigeon feathers the trees at the bottom of our garden were full with the sound of birds chatting . Finches and Starlings .
I'm not sure what had the Pigeon . I don't think our cat would be brave enough to tackle one even though he eyes them up . Could have been a Sparrowhawk as a female has been around here in the past few days . There were 3 areas where the feathers seemed to be concentrated . Large and small feathers but no body. Fox? Haven't seen any signs of one for a while now .

It does remind me of the exotic bird we had flying around here a few years ago which got twitchers in a frenzy until somebody sussed out it was a herring gull which had been dyed with food dye and then released. Nobody ever admitted to this but some fishermen who hate seagulls were prime suspects.

Wet with gales all day so going nowhere today. I notice a neighbour has taken his flagpole down as there is worse forecast for Tuesday.
The coop has partially given in to the complaints and now has oranges, oxo cubes and vinegar in stock and allegedly a better selection of vegetables and some bargains. It did not take long before it was noticed that the "bargains" were increased in price but had bargain stickers on them.
Calmac sending out their usual text warnings of possible cancellations due to weather.
