I went off to Broadstairs in Kent today and the sun came out! It had warmth. I'm in favour of this kind of thing.

So glad I taught myself to hand-tie bouquets all those years ago. I might not have the skill or dexterity of a professional florist, but if I take my time, I can produce pretty decent results.

Yet another long drizzly overcast morning, wet roads and a bike clean-up needed after every ride. Haven't really seen the intense tropical sun for the past two weeks ..... in Singapore! A bit unusual even for the rainy months here. I wonder if climate change is affecting the weather despite being so near the equator?

Well! I did a bit of the bird count yesterday but the results weren't representative of what we normally get . We even had a Grey Wagtail! We had a Pied one before Christmas , we used to get quite a few years ago . I saw a couple of Chaffinches and a Greenfinch. Last year we had about 5 of each . When I went out later in the afternoon to investigate a load of Wood pigeon feathers the trees at the bottom of our garden were full with the sound of birds chatting . Finches and Starlings .
I'm not sure what had the Pigeon . I don't think our cat would be brave enough to tackle one even though he eyes them up . Could have been a Sparrowhawk as a female has been around here in the past few days . There were 3 areas where the feathers seemed to be concentrated . Large and small feathers but no body. Fox? Haven't seen any signs of one for a while now .
