What a manic morning so far
Black bin got emptied
Green bins that others put out got swapped for black ones quickly

Best get a few jobs done and take the dog out i'm running late only went out to up the van on charge.
Next door got talking to me over 1 hour later was still chatting away.
Need to check the bate boxers sometime today as the rats look to be passing though our gardens again.

I have been up to the Hedgehog hotel .
The food had hardly been touched. I looked inside and there weren't any occupants apart from Chicky Pigs . Some water had got in but not the inner shell, but it had some mould on it . I wiped the mould off and cleaned out the old hay and put fresh in . The lid of the hotel had warped so I will have to fit some bracing bars .

There are workmen working on the roof of the porch outside and making a hell of a racket with a kango hammer.

Hopefully they actually fix it this time. Who decided flat roofs were a good idea!

Lunchtime stroll completed under partially sunny and cloudy skies with a chilly wind

Not having had to do it for a while, but I'd forgotten how difficult it was to start a pallet of goods weighing over 600kg moving using a hand pump truck. I then re-discovered how difficult it is to get the same load stopped once moving on a slight downhill slope when you can't just drop it to the ground.

I started to get competent with one of those, but it was the HGV drivers manoeuvering their loads in limited space that impressed me.

A mild and mostly grey day here chez Casa Reynard. There's a brisk Northerly breeze and the odd spot of rain in the air.

Slept really well, and then spent the morning having a lovely walk with a friend and her two dogs around the local playing fields. There were some very squelchy bits on the path around the fields at the back. But it was good to enjoy the company and generally set the world to rights.

I think I shall cut some more logs this afternoon, and then I will do some work on my archive. I will also need to wash my coat as it seems to have accumulated a coating of mud and pet hair.

It is almost time for luncheon.

Don't panic!
They said on the TV that they have just discovered that an asteroid is going to make a close pass by the Earth !

Couple that with the possibility that the earths inner core stopped spinning, and may have started spinning in the opposite direction, we could be in trouble.
