Second cuppa went down well and now it's time for a hot squash and ten minutes away from the laptop

A brrrrrrrrright, brrrrrrrrrrrreezy and chhhhhhhhilly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept so-so. Spent the morning doing gentle things like cleaning out the ash pan, getting the fire going again (it was almost out) and brought some wood in to top up what's in the house on the way back from the galvanized ash bucket that's kept under the garage porch. The bucket is where ashes get left to get completely cold before they get tipped into the compost bin.

Also went into the wood to look for more potential firewood and have spotted four dead oaks not too far from where I took out those bullaces the other day. They're not terribly big - about 10 ins diameter at the base - but as they're quite tall, they'll provide a decent quantity of good quality logs. I shall fell them this afternoon, and cut them up into sections.

Anyways, it is time for luncheon and I has a hungry.

Bright sunny all day but bitterly cold. Temp did rise to 3.2C but nothing seemed to be thawing as the ice is still on my car after the frost last night.
Not a good cycling day due to low sun blinding drivers.
Gritting lorry has just gone past so a thaw is postponed till tomorrow at least.
Had a lazy day and not much done apart from chucking out old out of date membership cards. Found them while searching for the instruction manual for a Toyota sewing machine.
Never did find the instruction book tho’ did find a print out from a downloaded manual. It is definitely somewhere in the house but still hiding.
I currently have 2 working condition Singer machines one of which while almost antique with a boat shuttle still works perfectly.
The Toyota was bought years ago for a project which never really got started just before I finally retired and is virtually unused. Needs oiling before I try it out to check for working condition before possibly selling.

Car all fixed turned out it had ran out of oil, oddly no sign it had or warning light. They sorted it out and all good found an issues with the brakes on one side. So as it was due a service in a few months time they bought it forward so most covered by service plan. Oh and a tyre needs replacing will call into the tyre place at the weekend for that is much cheeper. So all in all £102 was thinking more than that.

The only thing that I really find out of order is the website says they do a weekly quiet hour. When you click on the link it go's to the mobility car sales page. Being autistic is not a disability.

I have a very pink face after being outside gardening for over two hours. I feel much better for some gentle exercise. Some fresh air and a slightly tidier garden is therapeutic.

Being on duty as "carer" 24/7 for the last three weeks has been very draining. I am waiting for a visitor to ask how I am, as well as The Patient. I think I could be waiting a long time.

Knitting is also therapeutic (if it is not too complicated) and that will be my activity for this evening.
Local shops do a home delivery, so there is plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables here. As well as a Coffee and Walnut cake, spicy ginger biscuits, and oaty biscuits. There is a very limited amount of chocolate here, as The Patient is, amongst a myriad of other things, pre diabetic.

Agree, although it's treated as such. Having an autistic son, whose graduation I'm going to next week, has taught me it's a difference not a disability.
