Painful walk home from town batteries in my heated gloves went so did not take long for my hands to feel the effect.
Shaping up to be a sunny day with blue sky all the way , still ice-cold but a tad warmer then early morning out with the dog.

I made a simple suggestion, that might have helped.....

Never underestimate my ability to bring chaos into a working environment.

On that subject, a crank arm disappeared this morning. I cleaned it, put it down ready to fit, and it has since vanished. I had to find a new crankset...

MrsPete told me that there was a nail on the kitchen floor from when I'd erected a shed, yesterday.
I pointed out that it wasn't actually a nail but a galvanised clout.

She gave me one of her looks.... I'm still feeling a bit withered!!

Chilly and icy in places lunchtime stroll completed

Been lovely and sunny all morning but no thaw yet. Snow is starting again.
Once we had a daft turn and went on a sunny day to an auction at Ardgour when there was extensive snow but the roads were clear. This was with our Bedford Rascal van as we may have needed the space if we bought anything.
By good luck rather than judgement I had sunglasses in the van as the bright sun on extensive snowfield was blinding and driving without them was impossible.
A nice day out which I would not try to repeat nowadays.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrright and chhhhhhhhhhhhhilllllly here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, and spent the morning clearing up what I felled yesterday. The small / poor quality bits have been wanged in the woodland, and the rest has been cut up into sections ready for me to bring in. There is actually rather more than I had thought, so might not finish hauling it this arvo.

It is time for luncheon and I has a hungry.

The road going up the hill is clear now and the collection of BMWs and Mercs which were abandoned have now progressed somewhere else.
