On our local news the other day it showed a report about Clevedon. We went there last year after I picked up another bike . It was a kind of a bribe !
The locals are angry after a new traffic calming road scheme has been imposed on them . When we went there we parked by the kerb and got on to the pavement. The new scheme puts the parking in the middle of the road from what we could see with traffic either side. So if you have children in the car you are letting them out into traffic which ever door you open . It also means that tourists can't park their car by the side of the road and admire the view . It's supposed to be safer !

Light dusting of snow and the road does not look gritted as seen from my window anyway. A few vehicles going fairly cautiously round the nearby corner as viz is not good on approach and braking would mean a slide into either the oncoming vehicle or a substantial stone dyke.
I hope this has cleared a bit by tomorrow when I have an early nurse appointment and the surgery car park gets a few shovelfuls of salt scattered at random but nowhere useful.
Text from Calmac reminding us that some boats are cancelled due to livestock sales on Tiree.

Good morning all from a very wet and chilly Suffolkshire - it looks like there's been quite a lot of rain overnight and it's still drizzling at the moment.
I think a slow morning of changing the bedding, a bit of vacuuming and sorting things out ready for work tomorrow is called for. Hopefully it may dry up later so I can get out for a bit of fresh air.

It sounds like we got the rain before you. It was slapping against my north-facing window in the small hours. Now just a dull grey.
