Had a lovely luncheon of a chunk of pork pie, a sausage sandwich, a pear, a Thoday's Quarrenden apple and two
Then had a very lumberjill-y kind of afternoon. Cut up five cases of logs to dump in the garage, then felled three large (dead) bullaces that were once part of a hedge. Tomorrow's job will be to remove all the small stuff (anything less than about an inch and a half in diameter) and dump it in the wood, then cut up the remainder into moveable chunks and haul it in. The bottom sections of these are about a foot thick, so there's a fair old bit of firewood to be had.
A nice relaxing evening sounds like a good plan after that.
