Could Mrs P drive and meet you there? I am going to suggest this to Mr Hebe as he doesn’t enjoy cycling as much as I do. Although it will be a different cafe for us as Thurlaston is a bit too far from Wiltshire.

Trouble is it would take me as long to get into my cycling gear as it would to ride there. As for riding ther fine it’s mostly down hill Returning after one of their full English Breakfasts I would more than likely be meeting my stomach contents on the first uphill :sad::sad:

Pinhole cameras are great fun can be a bit of fiddle when making them but never quite tell what you'll get out is well worth it.
Spent many an hour in the darkroom even had one at home miss the days of film digital B&W is not a patch on film.

I keep threatening to get my film cameras out again and have a play. I loved B&W and slide film. I used to be able to get access to the darkroom in a college near my previous place of employment but can't anymore.

A darkroom would definitely be a feature in my ideal home if I had the pennies to build it but I live in a one bedroom flat so have nowhere to put it.

The only photography I do these days is generally just photos for my cycling blog and obviously as they are going online, digital is best for that.

Film photography is just more fun for me.

Waiting for the train to Stuttgart to stop messing about and.let us in...

Work at home quickly changed to sat in the IT department this pm whilst they worked out what was going on. Transpired the latest update to Windows 10/11 was causing Windows Defender to decide some office applications were dangerous and it was deleting them preventing anyone working on home from logging remotely onto office system.

I sold my film ones off as part of a big clear out we did a few years ago. I'm lucky my neighbour is an ex pro one of of best in the business , before he retired a fellow of RPS with every award you can think of. He was a big help when I started and all way though my GCSE. So he's still got all the kit from 35mm to full size plate ones so i'm free to borrow them anytime. I keep thinking of doing photography qualification.
I was lucky we have a spare room small so not much good for anything other than storage so used that.
Had both B&W full colour set up part of the room was taken off for upstairs toilet. The original door frame is still in place so my dad put a door on so even had extra door. With more bathrooms having just shower guess that rules out that old option. I do love digital always have my phone to hand mean i take even more picture than ever still look and set the frames up though even if though its so simple to point and shoot. I do have a DSLR but it's getting a bit old now and needs upgrading once i've the money to do it justice.

I don't have any fancy cameras. Practika and Zenit stuff mostly with various Helios lens. I like quirky things.

I do actually have C&G qualifications in photography. I did it as an evening course over two years. That was how I got using the college darkroom facilities in the first place. I did mine entirety in black and white film. Just about everyone else on the course switched to digital for the second year (the first year had to be done on film).

I also have a 1940s medium format camera that I'd like to teach myself to use.

@tyred @tom73 I am really lucky to have access to a nearby studio/darkroom. The owner does my films for me and I do my prints. We work well together and it’s an arrangement that we both enjoy. I have an Ondu wooden pinhole camera that uses medium format form, a Rollei that is older than my dad, an Olympus Om-1 and various rangefinders and plastic cameras. I do have a basic dslr but that’s only gets used to photograph the analogue work. The darkroom makes me happy, and I like that with film you shoot 12 or 36 or whatever frames and then you’re done and it’s time for coffee.

The dark room is a big part of it. Getting a film developed professionally is a bit hit or miss and you can't experiment with it.

Having limited frames concentrates the mind too as you take time to compose the photos properly rather than take a billion snaps and hope one turns out okay.

There is a chemist near me that has always been a bit specialist in photography and have always had a good reputation. I must see how much they charge for development. They at least still stock film as I see it behind the counter.

I had a Zenith for 35mm and a Rollieflex for anything else. Still have most of my negatives from the distant past and got a reader to get them on to digital if required.
I was fortunate to have a spacious darkroom permanently available and did a bit of freelance stuff and was called on by local organisations to do pics for them. I even did a few weddings but did not really like the pressure of making sure everything was done with no technical problems. To avoid this I duplicated everything with 35mm but the main pics were on the Rollieflex.
A good light meter was also essential but sold it and cannot now remember the make.
