I have £75 of Amazon vouchers burning a virtual hole in my virtual pocket. What do I need ?
I used mine for a book and half the cost of a heart rate monitor.

I may have stumbled upon a Fenix BC30 v2 (bike light) for just less than £2 more than my vouchers. It uses replaceable batteries (18650) and I just so happen to have a number of quality ones hanging about. The remote will be dead handy on the commute to switch the high beam off.

Went to Thurlaston Garden Centre and Tea Rooms for breakfast this morning If you are in the area I can highly recommend it
If the slice of Chocolate Cake I had a few days ago are anything to go by I would classify them as generous I cut it in half ,wrapped it in a serviette and had it for mid afternoon snack the following day

Coffees not bad either

I don’t often have a cafe stop when out for a ride .Problem is this one is to close to home for a cycling cafe stop- .
I suppose I could just have a ride to the cafe It’s only four miles from home,Problem is Mrs p can’t ride a bike And before someone suggests it I’m not buying a tandem ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

Could Mrs P drive and meet you there? I am going to suggest this to Mr Hebe as he doesn’t enjoy cycling as much as I do. Although it will be a different cafe for us as Thurlaston is a bit too far from Wiltshire.

Mild, very blustery and occasionally sunny here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept so-so. Have had a quiet morning working on my archive, and I now have another batch of photos cleaned up and ready to be printed out. I shall avail myself of the machine in Tesco later today and get those done.

I have a few errands to run this afternoon; have to pick up the parental's prescription, want to pop into the hardware shop in town to get a couple of those pouring spouts that you screw into the top of bottles, need to swing by the little oriental supermarket for a few bits (I've run out of Thai red curry paste), and lastly I need to go to Tesco. I haven't been shopping for food since New Year's Eve, and I'm now running low on a few things. I still don't need to do anything like a full grocery shop, so will be very disciplined and stick exactly to my list.

Madam Lexi has decided that the box and assorted packaging that my scanner came in is now THE BEST place for a kip. She's tucked up in there, as happy as a pig in mud.

Anyways, it is time for luncheon.

I have booked three days in the darkroom over the coming weeks. I have some pinhole negatives to contact print and then print full size, a photogram to make, and I need to spread a whole bunch of big prints out and choose half a dozen to have mounted so that I have something ready to show, should a suitable open call appear.

Turned out not a bad day so got a run out on trike.
I was a bit doubtful of the wisdom with a low sun blinding drivers but I managed to avoid problems as traffic was pretty light.
A shower approaching encouraged me to cut it a bit shorter than usual but by the time I got back home the threat had vanished.
At one point I had stopped for an approaching car and while waiting a second one appeared. The driver stopped alongside and enquired if I was all right. Never happened to me before and presumably they had never seen a recumbent before. Anyway nice to know there are some well intentioned people left in the world.
Had to get out for the sake of sanity as there is snow threatened by Sunday and Monday. Hope it has cleared by Tuesday as I have an early appointment which needs car use.
There have been occasions in the past when I could not cross the road to reach my car due to solid ice as the road has a slope and I do not bounce or even balance too well nowadays.

Pinhole cameras are great fun can be a bit of fiddle when making them but never quite tell what you'll get out is well worth it.
Spent many an hour in the darkroom even had one at home miss the days of film digital B&W is not a patch on film.

On the way to Stuttgart. A later train than planned because I can't organise myself...
