I have just picked up my clarinet playing book. I'm still finding the tadpoles on the telegraph wires still confusing.
Can you be dyslexic when it comes to music or whatever term they use? Just plain useless?
I can whistle or hum tunes but looking at the printed stuff is just confusing.

Good morning from a mostly sunny Suffolk. Doesn't look like we had any of the promised overnight rain.

Coffee has been had and the next one won't be until the return from Brands Hatch owing to the lack of instant for the flask. A bowl of porridge is about to be nuked for breakfast and will be sweetened with one of those little tubs of clear honey as I 'liberated' a few from the hotel breakfast area on Friday morning.

As a complete Philistine when it comes to music I have discovered that out of 4 different clarinets I have found that the mouth pieces can have an effect on whether you can get a note out of them. My first clarinet which I managed to get some notes out of was a Selmer student one. I then bought a rosewood Albert at an auction which I could also get notes on. I eventually bought a B&H Regent which I discovered was the easiest to play. I gave that one to our granddaughter and bought another. I have discovered that this one has a different mouthpiece which isn't the original and is a sod to get notes out of. I discovered that I could swap the mouthpiece from my Albert and then get notes out of it.
I might not know how to read music but I learning different things about my clarinets.

Blue sky and in places a breeze

I managed 26. Nice to get out before the rain returns this coming week.

Yes, I believe so. Despite participating in a number of choirs, etc., I have very little capability in actually reading music.

Rather more sunny morning than expected. Decided to see if a pair of shoes in a bag buried in a roller shutter cupboard will work in the absence of a locker. An old pair of black shoes duly polished and bagged.
In finding them I realised there were a number of other pairs really needing binning. The shoe cupboard emptied and only those decent pairs put back. The pile of ones to dispose of grew and grew and ended up almost overfilling a large Sports Direct bag.
Car then to the recycling bin next to Asda only to fnd it overflowing. So went and found one at Morrisons which in contrast appeared pretty empty as it took the lot.
Wandered into the adjacent The Range that has opened in place of Homebase and immediately evident the "conversion" did not extend to doing anything about the floor as it is still full of filled in holes for a large chunk of the store including the entrance area.
Picked up a bag of sunflower hearts fot the feathered ones.
