Yebbut still! Must've been a lot of downhill feathering / stoppage nonetheless... :bicycle:

Could just still be gritty out.

Well, I found the parts online. Seems I've bought the last pair of brake levers compatible with my bike in the country.
Delivered this morning. Impressive service.
Delivered to the LBS just after lunch.
Was assured the bike will be ready tomorrow.

I hadn't realised how much I used the bike and relied on it.

Funny reflecting that it cost more than most of the car I have ever bought. Also how the economics of an ebike and a rail card stack up against a 2nd car.
Going to look at a folding bike in the morning. Hope that Hercules gets the message and gets his act together.

Got home this afternoon, made myself a mug of coffee, unpacked the overnight bag and did a bit of faffing around.
Once the coffee had been drunk I got the bike out and went for a lovely 90 minute mixed surface ride in the sunshine and warmth.
Back home and out came the deck chair, radio and headphones and that was another hour of the day gone.
Another away day may have also been booked while idly browsing what was on...

Just printed off the completed chapter to add to my hard copy manuscript, and also backed up the file on the other laptop. A difficult chapter to write, as it covers some uncomfortable topics. And I don't pull any punches in that department.

Now have 25 completed chapters at just over 100,000 words.

Next chapter should be fun, as I get to play with a very obnoxious character. Though because she is kind of based on a real person, I will have to tread carefully. But yeah, I'll be creating a right Karen...

If I said Foulston to @Jenkins, he would know who I'm talking about.

JP's predecessor in what is now MSV and shares a first name with a Krankie lookalike?

Yup, got it in one!

Looked her up while doing a bit of research (when originally developing the character), and she had to resign from a board recently due to her bullying other people. Now why am I not surprised...

I only know a little from reading on JP's takeover years ago and she certainly didn't seem to be a nice character, so good luck with your character's development. One thing I do remember is that prior to JP, it was always advisable to take your own loo roll to Brands or Snetterton as they just didn't care about the spectator.

It's got quite misty here in east Suffolkshire.

I always kept a roll in the boot of the car as part of my standard "going racing" kit LOL! And the bog in the Snetterton paddock next to the media centre could be a bit minging at the best of times...

That aside, no, she is not a pleasant person. Most of my knowledge of her comes from the aftermath of Paul Warwick's accident, where she effectively washed her hands over the entire incident, saying it had nothing to do with her, despite that the circuit layout and maintenance was partly to blame. And never mind that another driver (Andy Coulson, Formula Renault) was killed at the same corner a month earlier in a distressingly similar incident.

To put things into perspective, there's footage on the Tube of You of an F3000 test at the circuit in July of 1990, and you can see that' there's a whole stretch of damaged, crumpled armco barrier on the approach to Lodge corner. And I have a sequence of photos from the opening round of the 1991 British F3000 at the end of March, where that same stretch of barrier *STILL* hadn't been repaired. So yeah, go figure...
