It's been a lovely, warm and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.
Slept reasonably well. Morning was spent doing chores and undertaking some kitchen time. This included poaching the lobster tail that I bought on YS in Waitrose on Wednesday.
A lovely luncheon of wholemeal toast, salami Napoli, smoked cheddar, fruit and a
After, it was straight out into the garden to make a start on cutting the grass. I did quite a good bit of that, although it's a bit slalom-y on account of the daffodils and narcissi, as well as the clumps of forget-me-nots and these wee purple things that also seem to have self-seeded. Still, looks a lot neater. Will carry on with that tomorrow.
At tea time, it was off into town on a bit of a YS hunt. Then off to Aldi to stock up on herbal teas. Plenty of peppermint, but no chamomile.
Got kind of tempted by their two "Mabel" Easter eggs. One "Mabel" is a chocolate cat, and the other is a chocolate egg with a cat plushie. I will wait to see if either gets marked down to clear after next weekend. If the Aldi in Ely doesn't have any, I can always try the big Aldi in Chatteris.
Picked up chamomile tea in Tesco, albeit only one box, as they're 70p more than Aldi. Timed my arrival to the bakery markdowns, and got very lucky. I have an oat & barley bread, a white boule, a cranberry & raisin loaf, a garlic chabatta , six crusty white rolls, six tiger rolls and two bags of bagels. So worth my while for sure.
Fabulous supper of soup, a lobster & avocado roll and that lemon muffin. The lobster was just amazing!

I will definitely be keeping an eye out for that again. And the lemon muffin was waaaaaaaaaaay better than the blueberry one.
Last task for today, is to simmer the lobster shell and the wee legs in the stock that I poached it in this morning (added a little pepper and tarragon), and then keep that by to poach those scallops in next week.
But first, I want to finish a very nice
