That's better.
A mostly sunny afternoon so out on the bike for a ride and no mudguards needed either. Seems like quite a few others had the same idea as I've not seen so many cyclists in one go for a long while. Just don't mention the still very cold breeze.
Treated myself to a long soak in a hot bath (two hot water top ups needed) instead of a shower.

It could just need brushes.

A chilly and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard after a grey start. Expecting a frost tonight.

Did not sleep well as my back has stiffened up for some reason. I'm not in the same league as @tyred but it's annoying. I have a sore patch in the muscles where my spine joins my pelvis. Some stretching was needed to get going this morning, but I did finish moving that wood, and I split some more logs.

While I was splitting logs in the garage, the postie stopped by with my stock car programmes. Was our usual chap, and as he heard the *whack* *whack* *whack* coming from the garage, came to find me rather than leaving a card in my letterbox. He's a really sweet Jamaican fella, but I can't understand how he can wear shorts when it's struggling to get much above 4 degrees, with a pretty sharp wind chill. All I can say is that he's far braver than me!

Had a lovely lunch of toast made with seeded bread, smoked trout, cave-aged cheddar, fruit and a :cuppa:

Topped up the wood bins in the house, and then have had a quiet afternoon watching TV - Antiques Road Trip followed by the E-Prix from Jeddah.

I do not need to cook this evening, so I shall spend a bit of time prepping fruit to make a batch of marmalade.
