I got up with difficulty. Back still very sore.

I was having a dream this morning. I was working at the top of a steep hill but staying in a town at the bottom. Each day I was have to climb up a steep hill on my hands and knees up a 2 mile steep slope. I was thinking" Why don't we stay at the top ?" When my dream ended.
It made me think of Fred Dibnah though and how he had to climb up those tall chimneys.
You wouldn't want to keep forgetting your tools would you?

107/65 65 pulse. I'm feeling fine.

Back to the hospital for a check-up by the medic. I'm expecting to be shifted to the rehab people and stay on monitoring.

Finger's looking like a sort-of finger, although still swollen, but the nail probably needs monitoring as it re-grows.

No hand strength yet so no outdoor cycling; I can now shift gears up AND down but can't press the brake lever hard - but can press it and it's getting better. If I fall right I'd probably take the re-attached finger off as well.

You'll be looking at around six months for the nail to reach the end of the finger. Don't be surprised if the first one decides to fall off.

Got the thumb crushed in March 1987, got permanent nails in July 1988.
