Possibly by rail replacement bus service. Which aren't as frequent as the rail services.

So we just look for the most bored, fed up looking passenger getting of these services at Leeds.

At no point did I mention staying in

Just swapped trains there and now I'm in the land of @Mike_P having a drink in the Harrogate Tap

Edit... it's just as grey and damp as it's been everywhere else this weekend. Got off the train, quick walk to Asda for a snack then the long route back to the station via a stroll through the far side of The Stray away from the traffic.

Postman just doing some bending stretching exercises shoulder turns knees up to chest.Me and the familee are going ten pin bowling, then over the road for a lovely meal together. What a fab way to end a lovely long weekend.

It's been a mild, grey and drizzly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Somehow managed to sleep for nearly 12 hours. Not done very much beyond emptying the rest of yesterday's groceries from the car (only put the fridgeables away last night), splitting a box of logs and doing a load of laundry. Had a real blonde moment because I forgot to remove both my car keys, house keys and shopping list from the jeans that I shoved in the laundry.

Good job I was trotting to and from the utility room with shopping, as I put the machine on, and then was wondering what that weird clunk, clunk, clunk was. Giving rise to the "oh sh*t" moment. Fast forwarded the machine onto a spin cycle, which meant I could retrieve said keys. Despite their ducking, the car key fob still works. They're currently on the storage heater, drying out.

Now sat by the fire with a :cuppa: and a chocolate brioche thingy.

The plan to change the back brake pads on my Dad's Ford this morning and then escape for a bike ride didn't go according to plan. The tool I had borrowed to rewind the callipers didn't fit and as I couldn't get it to retract and had no other options on a Sunday morning, I had to put it all back together again. In the process of doing so, I pulled something in my back (again  ) and have spent the day in pain with no bike ride. An easily injured back seems to be a thing ever since my accident.

At the risk of being called a Luddite, I'm pleased my Toyota has drum brakes at the back as all I need is a flat screwdriver and a pair of pliers.

At least you tried. Hope your back eases up sooner rather than later.

But if a rail replacement bus was used to get to Leeds, you'd have had to get off it there. Or else head back from whence you came!
