After around 10 months... they're finally removing the scaffolding from the house next door. The roofline/chimney work was completed about 10 months ago.

Do scaffolding companies just leave the scaffold up until they need it elsewhere; essentially using their customers' property as storage space?

One thing after another as the full fibre has died so no wifi or landline. Engineer coming on Monday. Meanwhile the cooker engineer is not coming until Thursday.

Billy bookcase shelf did not straighten so L plated screwed on the bottom of the rear corners, triple flet added to them and a wood strip glued to the rest of the base to correspondingly raise it.

Good morning from a 7th floor hotel room in grey, gloomy and damp Brighton.
A rest is being had following a large birthday breakfast - no cake available so I had a croissant dipped in honey instead.

Once I feel ready, a stroll will be taken along the seafront before heading to the rail station for the next leg of the weekend away - Lincoln for an AC/DC tribute band tonight.
