Today's 73 plate truck has 271143 kilometres on the odometer and is taking me to Tamworth & deepest darkest Birmingham..

I just did Countdown on those numbers and got 68!

Very excited, whilst brewing tea this morning I saw a Wren checking out our bird house.

If you are young and have children you will later consider sending them to university. Then you look at our politicians and think why should they bother !

I was just thinking! Detective dramas seem to be very popular and ones based on islands too. Bergerac, Shetland. Why don't they make one where the detectives have to ride round on bicycles therefore combining our hobby? Sark!

Decided on a walk over a ride quite glad I did as it's that horrible drizzle.

Bird feeders have been topped up and first arrival was a black bird.

A lovely, crisp frosty morning for a perambulation. Now waiting for my breakfast and wondering which plate I get today.

There's someone sitting at an adjacent table reading the Daily Mail and giving out about speed limits. They walk amongst us!

Apparently the first tickets were handed out in the first minute of the day.
I wish they'd do that over here.

Good morning from a 7th floor hotel room in grey, gloomy and damp Brighton.
A rest is being had following a large birthday breakfast - no cake available so I had a croissant dipped in honey instead.

Once I feel ready, a stroll will be taken along the seafront before heading to the rail station for the next leg of the weekend away - Lincoln for an AC/DC tribute band tonight.

I guess if you are going into a backward part of the world where such things aren't readily available, it's better to be prepared.

They'll just create a lot of noise and publicity for a few days and then nothing will be done and it will be business as usual.
