happy Friday! :hyper:

A grey, blustery, chilly and drizzly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept better, but not brilliant. Took my brain ages to switch off, because my thoughts were dwelling on a character I need to develop. And I had to get up several times to make some notes, because otherwise I'd clean forget. It's so annoying that when dropping off to sleep (or at least trying to) seems to be one of the best times to get these moments of insight. I was still awake at 6am, but then I did crash out for a few hours.

So I had a gentle morning, including re-stocking some bits in the kitchen and writing my shopping list for tomorrow. I had intended on going out to bring a load of wood in, but it's pretty grim out there (especially the wind chill) so gave that up for a bad job after it started drizzling while I was having luncheon.

Luncheon was a very nice chicken, mayo & cranberry sauce sandwich, some fruit and a :cuppa:

Topped up the wood in the house, and have spent the afternoon writing. This involves trying to decipher my scribbled notes from the wee hours. The character in question is Dan Archibald's wife. She's been mentioned a good number of times in the story up to this point, but this is the first time she's making an appearance in her own right and interacting with my lead character. I have the bare bones of her appearance, back story and personality. but I need to bring her to life, as it were.

I am also sat by the fire thinking that a :cuppa: would be a very nice thing indeed right now.

Looking forward to getting a loaf of wholemeal sourdough from my local baker the morn - ! ^_^
Had a seeded sourdough this week and toasted, the crust was amazing - ! :okay:
One of the advantages of this bakery is that all the 'front of house' staff know all about the products they sell. More than can be said for the Bread Source shops where some appear to be a bit clueless; 'I'm just here to sell the stuff.'
