The old chap who was sat in front of me on the train died.
So, on the train, he boards at Blackburn and already looks a bit peaky, starts talking to Hover Fly but rapidly becomes incoherent, Hover and I manage to get that he’s going to the last stop and no one will be meeting him, then he starts mumbling, followed by a death rattle, by this time a nurse has joined us but can’t do much, he goes quiet and his eyes glaze over, he slumps to one side and that’s it.

We’re ok now, all a bit subdued, we Ulster birds are as tough as old boots really, not the first time Hover has seen someone die, the twins were a bit shocked, even though we tried to keep them away, but the boy-twin asking “Are you dying?” might have been a bit much.
