I've also been doing some research and fact-checking this afternoon.

I found a newly-published and new-to-me article on Paul Warwick last week, and the damn thing is peppered with some pretty ghastly errors. Not just about Paul himself, but also about motor racing at that time in general. I'll admit that some of the errors are obscure enough that only a nerd like me would pick up on them, but most of them can be easily checked by picking up some contemporary magazines or asking Mr Google. But really, it's nothing more than lazy journalism.

Ergo I've been double-checking the errors to make sure I've got all my ducks lined up in a row (including references) before I get onto the author to tell him that his article is, well, garbage.

Oh deary me. I've just torn the article to shreds... I think an interview *did* form the basis of it, but given some of the errors and typos, I suspect someone used something like ChatGPT to actually write it.
