Another day of doing very little has been successfully completed.
The next lot of rail tickets have been purchased
A spare bicycle handlebar has been pressed into service as a prop/brace so that the solar panel for the car's trickle charger sits flat against the car's rear window instead of on the roller blind that acts as a cargo cover. This way it is now in full sunsine at this time of year as I park roughly north/south.
A 2.5 hour bicycle ride in the lovely sunshine & not so lovely cold wind was had on the new toy.
Another load of washing was done to use up excess electricity - I wish the solar installation company would hurry up and supply the necessary paperwork so that I can sign up to Octopus Flux and make money from the excess rather than it going to the grid f.o.c.
It is now hot chocolate time.

I'm going to have to keep an eye on the microwave as the turntable drive seems to be on the way out. The previous smooth motion has been replaced by a jerky one like a second hand round a clock. The wheels, base and plate holder have all been cleaned so it's not them. It's about 10 years old and from the bottom of the DeLonghi range so I'm not going to complain if it does eventually break.
