Sunny day but 7 was an optimistic forecast. According to the days early tracking emails postIe was delivering a parcel today and Amazon tomorrow. So Amazon turned up just as I was heading out on work visits but no postie and it seems the parcel only reached Leeds at 1230.
Work visits entailed a 58 mile loop and up on the moor north east of Pateley their was ice about as well as sheep grazing on the road as normal. These always appear to be slightly more intelligent than those on the North York Moors as they do tend to walk out of the way rather than at you.

I have been out on my ride with my friends .not was sunny but chilly out. Halfway round I came off my bike, oops bouncy bouncy ouch! I was trying to put my foot into a plastic rat trap. They are useless things. I usually end up standing on them because they are floppy. I leant down to hold it open and wandered off hitting a kerb and went down. I was wearing motorcycle gloves which saved my hands but I think I bruised my hip. 8 will attack the offending thing with my tin snips!

Were you wearing a helmet?

Another working day completed. So peaceful and quiet compared to being in the office. I was unsure about this as I got used to being in the office again, but today felt like bliss. Work at home is the introvert's dream. Pity management don't seem to see it like that!

I still can't understand why my second monitor is on strike. It must be a fault in the docking station as the fault stays with the same port on the docking station when I switch them around. I'll see what happens with the monitors at the office when I get back there next week, and then annoy the IT people about it.

I picked up a few bits in the shops after work. Starting to rain quite heavily, and pretty cold.

Nothing from fruitcake builder today. I can't be bothered arguing with him any more. He probably has more money than me but he has to go through life falling out with everyone he meets.

when you put an idiot in charge, idiotic things happen. good thing I'm NOT in charge

Today is the 100th anniversary of a storm derailing a train from the top of an exposed viaduct, not far away from here with the loss of several lives.

I've cycled past the remains of the viaduct many times.
