As luck would have it, they've managed to slot it in between 7th and 9th floors. I'm in a gown and a blue hair cap.

You are correct. However, at the big Hopsital in Worcester there is a lower ground floor that is level one and the entrance (ground level for anyone arriving) is labelled Level Two. Tis a brilliant way to confuse people.

Work office is dug into a hillside so you can enter on Ground, 1st and 2nd floors. A lift links ground to 1st, another ground to 1st 2nd and 3rd, and another from 1st to 2nd 3rd and 4th. The floor levels don't confuse many but the lifts often do.
