Slept a bit better, first time in a week and can turn over in bed without excruciating pain. Progress.

Might be back to normal for next week when I'm due in work. Won't risk bike yet till I've seen one of my physio colleagues.

Another glorious sunrise this morning. The weather this week so far has been better than most of last summer!

I'm here all ready for another day's pointless endeavor. None of my colleagues are here yet.

Must admit I use to feel the same when I collected my daughter from school all those years ago.

And I still get a similar feeling when we pick our granddaughter up after school

at a bit of a loss what to do with this catch 22 conundrum of , patient can't be released till home assessment is done and home assessment can't take place till patient is released. . So we emailed her GP
Now we have no idea if this was a coincidence or the GP phoned the hospital, but 30 minutes later phone call to say patient transport would drop her off at home in an hours time -

so she's home - with a large box of pills - 6 different types, some 1 a day some twice and some 3 times. (18 tablets a day) How is someone 95 supposed to work all that out ?

anyway wife has managed to find a company of carers (probably at ruinous costs) that will pop in 4 x a day, and we will go down a few times too, but how are the very old supposed to cope who may be don't have family near by and can't afford private care.

It seems odd to discharge with just a dressing assessment.As I said I retired twenty three years ago years ago so not prive to current practice,
I hope everything gets sorted for yourself and your MIL.

The laundry is out of service. A letter was meant to be sent out but someone must have decided that it would be more fun for the electricians to have to face a steady day-long flow of cursing residents.

Brown recycling bin of garden and food waste emptied. Blue recycling bin chock a block full emptied the clatter of empty bottles was deafening
