Lovely supper of turkey noodle soup, then cold sliced guinea fowl & stuffing, steamed broccoli, Polish vegetable salad, cranberry sauce and a buttered jacket potato.

Oh what a pity son left part of his birthday cake by mistake.Well it is not viable to take it over to Manchester.And it might go orf before February his next visit.So me and Mrs P had put it out of its misery of being lonely and unloved.It was loved by me.

Lovely day of sunshine here in the east.

After doing the vacuuming, I spent most of the morning in the living room with the sun streaming through the window and making it pleasently warm relaxing on the sofa with a book, the radio & a pint of squash. Once I was certain that the frost had gone, I poped out on the bike for a 20 mile loop to Ipswich and back which is when I realised how cold it actually was in the wind!
Since then, other than make tea, drink more coffee, squash & hot chocolate absolutely nothing has been done other than pricing up another couple of days away.

Rough night with a finger hurting. I had really trimmed back the nail earlier in the week thinking it was trying to ingrow. An examination if it this morning convinced me there was something stuck in it so a surgical operation with a needle and a small piece of grit, or similar, emerged.
Sunny and maybe a fraction warmer than yesterday.
Postie delivered a new 5 way extension lead with individually remote control sockets. Letting it thaw out before testing.

fwiw, sometimes if a fingertip needs TLC, I'll cut a finger off a disposable glove, put an anesthetic/antibiotic creme on it, put the glove finger over it & hold it in place w/ a band aid

2-day road trip, w/ errands for Mother, for her new living arrangement. good traveling weather & she's a bit happier. no complaints on my part

Today's 73 plate truck has 236944 kilometres on the odometer and has taken me to Clifton (Nottingham, not Bristol). Later, if I'm unlucky, it will take me to Milton Keynes.. Turn left at the 13th roundabout..

I thought that was a bit drastic cutting off a finger ! Then I read a bit further on .
