Itching to get back on my bike's

I've been awake since 4am. Too many things on my mind to go back to sleep.

I have had loads of those recently and it is not fun

It's still pitch black here. I braved the weather for my perambulation and returned home absolutely drookit. Raincoat in the bath dripping!

About to consume my porridge before starting the penultimate day of work for '24. I'm sure it will be just as much a disorganised mess as the previous few weeks!

We had a new electric razor for Christmas.
So do I read the instructions or just dive straight in.
I should think the majority of us would just go for it so that's what I shall be doing 😁

Good morning from Suffolk where, for the first time since late afternoon on Ch****mas Eve, we have sunshine. Only very occasional glimpses through the cloud but sunshine none the less. I had a bit of a disturbed night's sleep and feel a bit not with it this morning so I hope I've not caught the cold that my niece had while we were round mum's on Boxing Day.

Coffee has been had and the wheelie bin appears to have been emptied as it's about 5 yards from where I left it yesterday. Today's plan is to get out and enjoy the slightly better weather while it lasts ahead of the return of wind & rain over the New Year.

Sun and fundamentally no gusty wind. Ebike consequently had an unexpected outing. 11.45 miles to Knaresborough and back. Outbound nearly collided with a cat that decided to walk straight in front on me.
Tatty Wollies like store visited in the hope of finding one thing and came out with two completely different things; birthday card for dad and box of shoe polish brushes.

Oldwheels has gone on his last journey to that land from whose bourne no traveller has ever returned.

Posted by Oldwheels son, Neil.

With others here, I'll miss him. He brought his own distinctive view & experience. Having lost my mother fairly recently, I know you'll be feeling a great loss, which we all sympathise with.
