It's been a sunny, breezy and chilly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept OK-ish, but still not enough. Spent the morning in the company of a friend and her dogs walking around the local playing fields. Stopped off at the Post Office in Littleport on the way home to post a birthday pressie.

Skipped luncheon to go lumberjilling. Too breezy to risk felling anything or trying to free any dingle-dangly stuff, but found a large ash tree - probably about 20 inches across at the base - that had come down some way into the wood. As it was all the way down, it was easy to work on, but I had to clear a path for the mower and trailer in order to get to it, and then I had to cut back a fair bit of brushy undergrowth in order to work safely without tripping up.

Brought in a whole trailer's worth, already cut up into logs - about 16 cubic feet.

Now sat by the fire after having had a :cuppa: and some toast.

These are not my photographs. They were on a news website. Someone walked through the fog to get to the top of the Malverns, and other hills in this region, and I thought you might like to see them.

Apparently, Mam Tor had similar cloud inversions on Saturday morning.. Unfortunately for daughter & grandson, they walked up yesterday! 🙄

I have had loads of those recently and it is not fun
Still lying awake at that time is no fun either.
