Hospital outpatient visit complete, cast off, large bandage on, back next week for another visit. Photos taken but not sharing (they're a bit gruesome). Positive progress overall and the surgeon is happy so far.

I'm still not permitted to drive though for a while until it's a lot better.

i must have missed that you hurt yourself ? , or i forgot ....

Still dense cold fog here so not riding outside yet again running out of time for the 100 km ride but not worth the risk

Been missing for a few days.

On Sunday I got my right hand index finger sliced and crushed by equipment I was looking at.

Cue a dash to the A&E with what was left of the finger, x-rays, iodine and a move to the hand surgeon.

Monday I had plastic surgery and a skin graft.

I'm now recovering and am back for a progress update on Friday, with probable further operations.

I'm right handed and in a full cast. No riding for some time at least.

Bugger, hope you are able to regain most of the function in time.

Still very foggy here. It is unusual for it to last for four or five days.

Took ages to make an online payment late morning then tried and failed to pay in a cheque using the banks mobile app. Consequently into town, the intent to walk quickly change to drive as I noticed the fog descending. M&S was packed and obviously others had found something as the queues to pay were enormous.

Quick trip out completed and, if anything, the mist/fog has got thicker and it's got gloomier since first thing. The second coffee of the day has been had and I'm trying to resist scoffing what chocolates I've got left in one go.

Work has been dead as per expectations .
Sale of something didn't happen
Impromptu family gathering helped to clear some room in the fridge but looks like we are left with loads of sweets things .

Best to get there for the browsing time before the store opens for sales.
