A nice day here and very mild for December.

Another pointless day at work with no idea what we are really supposed to be doing and our newly appointed on the job trainer seems to be one of those people incapable of giving a straight answer to any question.

I went for a twenty mile ride after work. I thought the roads would be really quiet but there seemed to quite a few aggressive, impatient twits around.

I'm just preparing my Friday pie and chips now. I will be going out later with some friends for some seasonal refreshments.

Double flip.
1.Turned the wrong ceramic hob light on and partially melted the kitchen scales. Trip to Argos coming up for a new set. They were a bit of a pain having to be clear of anything when switched on otherwise they immediately locked up as being overweight.
2.Thinks what Sainsbury's offers have I got, oh heck, no really cheap milk just 20p worth of Nectar points.

Yesterday my wife and I were discussing what clothes I'd like to be buried in. It was something I was thinking about the day before. I was just assuming it would be my suit. But jeans and a T shirt would be what I normally wear, it's not like I would be going to an interview or feel cold! I then thought about a person like a fireman dressed in an asbestos suit being cremated!

A chilly and foggy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, and didn't wake up till 1pm. Whoops! No wonder I felt so terrible yesterday evening. Still feel really tired, but it's kind of manageable. The planned trip into town was postponed till tomorrow. I have to post a birthday pressie, and I would like to have a mooch around Waitrose.

So I had a bit of a kitchen day. Removed the guinea fowl meat from the carcass. I have one tupperware with nice pieces, and one small tupperware with all the little bits. Put the bones to one side for later.

Salmon mouse on toast, an apple, a persimmon and a :cuppa: for luncheon.

This afternoon's task was to fish out the turkey bones from the stock and pick the meat off them. I am no slouch in deboning poultry, but I still managed to get close to a kilo of meat off the carcass - mainly from the neck, back and pelvis. That is now in a dish, and then tomorrow I will portion it up and freeze it. It will be perfect for things like curries and pies.

The guinea fowl bones then went into the stock and were simmered for a few hours. While that was getting on with itself, I popped out to drop off some tomatoes I picked up the other night on YS for a friend. I also took her a portion of guinea fowl and stuffing - she's never had guinea fowl before and wanted to try some. Had some kitty and doggo cuddles while there.

Have had a quiet evening. Supper was a bowl of beetroot soup, a cheddar, brie and cranberry sauce toastie, and the last of the Christmas pudding with some swanky organic single cream.

Now listening to Arsenal v Ipswich.

Work has been dead as per expectations .
Sale of something didn't happen
Impromptu family gathering helped to clear some room in the fridge but looks like we are left with loads of sweets things .
Afternoon walk completed
Time for a cuppa

I've got one portion of crumble left, plus two individual trifles, a small (4 portion) tiramisu and a poppy seed cake.

And enough cheese to feed a small country.
