Whilst I'm in a mood for complaining I'm getting annoyed with our new Sony Bravia TV. It is slow in doing things and questions my selection of programme. I switch it on and press the channel I want to see and get a screen full of I player type stuff. Our old LG would go to the programme I selected. We can now view the I Player type channels and find that the sound is better. I don't like the menu on the Sony.
My LG is the same as its default setting is the app screen but there is buried in its settings an option to set what appears when switched on as the last channel or HDMI input viewed. Its also bit sluggish changing channels, Seems to be TVs these days are app focused rather than viewing broadcast channels and it can take some time to work out how to access things quickly.

kind of excited, gonna run out this evening, w/ a mask after business hours, to check a cpl things in my office. no one will be there & I'll be in & out in 10 minutes. yes, I will wipe all doorknobs & light switches

some things to check
  • incoming mail
  • some printouts I made, which may have landed on my office floor
  • voice messages on my office phone. no, no one knows how to retrieve them remotely. so dumb
  • most important, change some passwords, which can only be changed in the office, due to some idiotic technicality. I'll be out of the office for 2 weeks & if I don't do it now, I'll be locked out until the 2nd week of January!

mission accomplished; no printouts were on the floor. set up the printer w/ more paper & extended the output collection arm w/ raised tab, in case I print more remotely, before I go back

also knocked off another few items like filing. documents, documents, everywhere a document. at least I'm needed, eh?
