Grey start to the day but seems to be brightening up just now. I can see snow on the furthest mountains but banks of rain seem to sweep across and obscure everything. Temp was 5.4C when I got up so not too cold yet.
Library day which at least gets me out of the house and if there is anywhere to park I may stop at the chemist. Parking will be at a premium due to various Christmas related events.
I notice my avatar has vanished. Yet another of the annoyances cropping up on CC after the new iPad purchase.
Have seriously gone off Apple.
Now it refuses to post this yet again.

Morning trip into town had to call into Morrisons which was in a state of a mass jumble sale. Stuff just dumped waiting to be put on shelves after working my way though the mess. It was out of stock anyway, which is a common thing now. I get that need to get stock out but to dump it next to someone as they walk passed or in front of them as they walk along is another. So off to Lidi to get something different. Also in state of stock unloading but no way near a mess. Or random dumping of stuff as you walk round.

Good morning from Suffolk where the run of grey and gloomy starts to the days continues with added dampness underfoot from a bit of overnight rain. Coffee has been had and I'm looking forward to a nice & quiet day with the only things to do being a trip to John Lewis to pick something up for my sister's Ch****mas present.

I have also been awarded a trophy for 14 years on Cycle Chat so I may be assembling a virtual trophy cabinet to put it in.

We have come up with a game that you can play whilst out shopping. It needs at least 2 people to play. One of you needs to go and put shopping in the car so you decide to meet up in a big store like B&M but one of you decides to pop into another shop before going there.
Oh I had so much fun walking up and down the isles looking for someone who wasn't there!

Tinder dates can be like that

Sunny but chilly morning.Ebike had its tour of Morrisons, Lidl and Waitrose bike stands. Turkey gravy and bananas were the sole extent of what I wanted actually being in Morrisons.
Lidl seem to have replaced the nut bars I like with some others that were not tempting: probably cheaper but charging more.
The weekly cheap cottage pie and fortnightly cheap milk from Waitrose.
Now clouding over.

There’s comes a point with technology where we will all become luddites. I think I’ve found a technology line I don’t wish to cross 😂

I think the point came for me when I realised that all the appliances had clocks. I'm sorry, but my microwave doesn't need to tell me the time, nor does the cooker, washing machine or coffee maker.

Sounds like the game Mrs MY & I play when supermarket shopping. I toddle off to get something from another aisle, come back to where the trolley was, then spend 1/4 walking up & down looking for Mrs.

A large, disused corn mill dating to the 1840s burned down last night.

It's amazing how listed buildings are prone to catching fire in the middle of the night!

My first distillery did that when lying empty and unused while the property developers hovered trying to get planning permission for a new bungalow colony. It was dated to be the first legal distillery in Scotland from 1772 which was carved into the lintel of my house.

Another cold, damp miserable day and it is already pitch dark.
Did get out as far as the library but as expected but down the street was jammed with vehicles. I just added to the chaos by double paring for the few minutes it took to go into the chemist shop.
I notice my avatar is on the new iPad but not yet checked the MacBook.
Not many will recognise it but it is a figure from bits of water pipe welded on to an old bike and mounted on the roof of a tin shed between Carbisdsle Castle and the hamlet oF Culrain in Sutherland.
Stopped for a photo when I was passing.
