As long as I breathe, I attack.
day off work as i have to take mrs ck for a retina scan at the hospital as the normal eye test she had at the opticians raised some concerns.
Mini ck 1 is starting to feel a little better after the antibiotics are starting to kick in but now i am feeling a bit coughy/snotty so i am going to dose up on cold meds as i dont feel as bad as she was but her immune system is not the best to start with .

A total contrast in weather as there is virtually no wind and the sun is shining. Temp when I got up was 3.6C.

That is the only good point so far as the linkspan {the shore based movable ramp] at Craignure is giving trouble and sailings may be cancelled at short notice.
To make matters worse on the alternative Fishnish/Lochaline vessel one ramp has stopped working and all traffic has to reverse on. Not everybody is capable of this and chaos ensues.
The only other ferry Tobermory/Kilchoan has so far made no comment but is very limited in size and takes you even further away from anywhere you may want to go.

My 1952 Austin A40 Devon had a valve radio that took a few minutes to warm up before Liberace & the Swingles burst forth on the Light programme!

In the day when you needed an extra licence for the car radio.

My first car, a Mini 850, had an 8 track cassette. The cassettes were huge so you couldn’t keep that many in the car.

Weren't they called cartridges?

I've just managed to get a medical practice to send a correctly completed medical certificate of death to the medical examiner's office. I had to go there and wave government advice to ''Never use abbreviations or symbols'' at them. No, you can't write COPD as a contributory factor because it might mean Chronically Obtuse Practice Deficiency, and can I get my mother's death registered please? A 24 to 48 hour procedure has taken 13 days, many hours of my time and might have given me a traffic fine because Google maps tried to make me turn into a no entry street and left me in a bus lane.
