Still wet and windy tho' the wind seems not as bad as yesterday.
The 0745 sailing from Craignure to Oban will be attempted but could be defeated by the swell coming up the Firth of Lorne which has a long fetch as well as some nasty tidal conditions.
Sailing up there once the cooker flew off it's gimbals in my Westerly Centaur due to short steep waves caused by wind over tide.

Looking further ahead I notice some strong winds currently forecast for Friday morning just when I want to be travelling.
The alternative is to go via Fishnish/Lochaline assuming they are sailing but that is over 80 miles extra which I would rather not do.
Add on I have won a new iPhone 16 according to my junk folder. Aye right.

A truly horrible day, very stormy, occasionally sunny but often torrential rain.

A responded to an SOS call as Dad had replaced the battery in his van and then the radio wouldn't work as it had lost the code so I had to go home to sort it out. No record of the code to be found anywhere but I discovered a website where I could put in the serial number of Ford radios and get the code. Had to remove the radio to get the serial number from the label, which was more straightforward than i thought it will be. I hate taking modern dashboards apart. Radio now restored to working order and code noted for future reference.

One wonders what is the point of a security code on a radio if you can just Google to get the code. 🤔 I don't think my Toyota has a security code on the radio.

Someone had parked their boyracer special MkV Golf on its roof and done a considerable amount of damage to both the car and the hedgerow in the process. I hope nobody was hurt but that is one more VAG smoke generator off the road!

I will be going to the theatre later.

I don't think car radios are as desirable as they once were.

Well we survived.Woke up Saturday morning to snow here in Meanwood.Bugger we were going to Bushey near Watford.A birthday party.Four of us,no baked beans on Friday as stated earlier. So off we went,i would have gladly stopped at home.Anyway off we went, and slowly the snow got washed away by rain, lots of it.Mrs P was incredible,we arrived at Watford North Premier Inn.So party time at a local community hall, which sadly is closing down for good on Wednesday.Seems no community to support it staying open.Well the party was a beauty,a fitting way to end its life.No trouble lots of fun plenty of food and copious amounts of booze. So after a breakfast Sunday a drive back with a stop off at Leicester Forest, rain boy oh boy did it rain,oh my word.Mrs P is a wonderful driver and back home to our favourite Indian restaurant Sheesh Mahal in Kirkstall.Today i feel washed out a too late Saturday night and a long car journey so i am resting.

Morning.
I can see some blue sky and light orange cloud. I will go and check our rain gauge to see how much we had.

We had 0.54" yesterday, mostly first thing. I was quite shocked at how my coat leaked on Cassie's, truncated, walk. The garden flooded a bit but it's all drained away this morning, although the soakaway drains are quite full.
