First cuppa went down well and it was lovingly made by swmbo.
Nowhere near as much frost as expected.
And you can see across to the Bozeat straight. There's a light colour in a crack across the grey clouds.

Snow has mostly vanished here but there are very dark clouds looming up so more may be coming.
Gritting lorry went past about 6 o'clock so probably frost and I noticed it took a neighbour a long time move off in his van so windscreens probably frosted over. Temp is just above freezing at 0.6C.
On the mainland there are comments that Strone Hill between Dalmally and Crianlarich is not good. I once did a 360 degree spin while creeping downhill in first gear to avoid braking. Must have hit a frozen lump which knocked to old VW off course and bounced off the snow banks on either side.
The best vehicle ever for snow and ice was a Sherpa Highwayman which never veered of course and ploughed through quite deep snow no problem. Rubbish for everything else tho'.
The latest fashionable thing is to have "tractor runs" around the town for Christmas. Decorated farm tractors and ceremonial switching on of festive lights on Saturday 30th when I hope to be away.

Good morning from a bright and very breezy Suffolk. Bitterly cold and thick frost still on the ground where the sun hasn't reached yet. Coffee has been had.

Nothing needs doing today so, given the wind & rain forecast for the weekend, I'll probably get out for a couple of hours later on to maintain the fresh air quotient while I can.

A30 in Devon late this morning.

Bright blue sky and sunshine here today.

Do I look brighter and clearer? I am using the new puter. The mouse decided not to work with it as it does not like the wireless connection. I really struggle to use the touch pad, so I have to find a spare mouse.

Lots of rubbish on the television last night, but managed to find an old episode of "Inspector Dalgleish" - "The Murder Room" with Martin Shaw which was excellent.
