Good morning from Suffolk where, up to a few minutes ago it's been a bright if cold and breezy start to the day. There was then a brief heavy rain shower and now the sun's back out again. Hopefully it will stay dry from now on so that I can get the mower out, even if it is used more like a vacuum cleaner to pick up all the leaves that have come off the neighbour's tree.

Coffee has been had and next up is a quick shopping trip into town to get food for today and a couple of bananas as travel snacks for Wednesday.

Happy Birthday @tom73

A bit foggy all round but not where I actually live. The areas I would be cycling on are invisible being blanketed with fog.

Happy birthday to @tom30.

Another chaotic day according to Calmac texting service. Some unspecified sailings cancelled due to berthing clashes in Oban. They have two linkspans there so a bit hard to understand as in the past one vessel has moved off to allow another to unload.

Nothing planned but strangely no stiffness after my trike run yesterday as after the previous one my legs did suffer the next day.
My main problem is that one doctor is not too happy with my cycling while waiting on a new aortic valve so while I do ignore this opinion to an extent I still try not to push too hard. My routes, in fact all routes around have some nasty albeit short hills.
E assist comes in handy and I tend to use it a bit more than I would have in the past.

Do they still have to learn Morse Code?

I'm no good at telling the difference between the sound of a dot or dash!

I think it depends on the level of license, whether it is:
Technician- Operates domestically only
General- Can operate internationally via radio
Amateur Extra-All bands and modes.

Rain has stopped play. Got the front & side bits cut and about a quarter of the back lawn before it got to wet to continue. To make things worse, the wind is blowing more leaves off the neighbour's tree onto the bit out back that I've managed to do. Unless things improve very soon, I'll have to leave it until Friday to have another go.

I visited Whitby many decades ago. One evening, I decided to try the Indian restaurant in the town.

I did not realise it was in the building that used to be the Station. There very few trains into Whitby and therefore no one on the platform at about 8pm in the evening. This will explain my extreme surprise when, in the middle of the meal I could see a locomotive heading straight for me.

That Indian is still going strong by the looks of it.
