Having added on the QT health care workers to the covid jab list. Mrs 73 is back from having her's down at the vaccination centre. No effects and now she's busy putting washing away and changing the bed. I'm off for an afternoon walk but 1st I will see if Charlie wants another walk.

That's just reminded me, a couple of days ago I was at the sink doing the washing up and half watching the traffic go by when a brightly decorated van drove past bearing the logo " Captain Pugwash dog grooming ". Made me laugh out loud 😁

My plans for today didn't happen so I went for a 35 mile ride on the single speed in the afternoon. Weather looked nice but was deceptively cold. I could have used another layer. Still nice to see the autumnal colours on the trees.

Now out for my Sunday evening live music fix.

It's my phone ringtone ( not that I get many calls ). I was sitting outside the Jolly Sailor on Poole Quay one Sunday lunchtime when my phone rang, an older couple on the next table burst out laughing 🤣

Had soup followed by a fish finger sandwich for supper.

Run out of steam, so back in bed surfing the 'net. Arm pain has subsided markedly in the last few hours - it's only really sore now when I touch my bicep. Hopefully a good night's sleep will be on the cards this time.

I think that today was the first time I've seen the sunrise since I retired - even if it was via the car's rear view mirror.

A very good day out with some fantastic racing (Minis especially), even though the sun disappeared as I hit Northamptonshire and never returned. Silverstone was as chilly as it normally is and I'm glad I took a bike with me as there were no open loos on the outside of the International circuit so had to use the ones on the National Circuit (and watch a bit of the Historic Car Club's meeting while I was there).

The only problem was on the way home where some idiots had driven their vehicles into each other on the A14 and the Police had closed the road in both directions - the last hour of my drive took more than twice that due to everything being diverted through Newmarket.
