Broadband engineer turned up just on midday, by which time I'd finished all the domestics and was just about to go and hang the washed towels on the whirlygig so that had to wait.
All up and running about 45 minutes later and I'm now on modern world type broadband speeds. More importantly with the TV package it's £15 per month less that I was paying, although for some reason it's showing that I need to add the HD package to watch Sky Sports HD but can watch TNT Sports & Eurosport in HD. Will sort that out on Thursday.

Something worth asking, sky are supposed to be knocking their standard definition channels off later this month. They've had problems with their streaming services so this switch-off appears to have been delayed.
You might be paying extra for something that's the only thing available.

Morning.
Grey and a bit damp out although it is raining at he moment.
I might not have told you all but I bought a Specialized Allez he other day. It is a red one with 2 buckled wheels. I had missed out on one s couple of days before so I was determined to get this one. It is red. I have almost got one wheel as true as I can at the moment. It looks like the rider must have ridden over a kerb at speed as both wheels were kinked. I'm looking at the bike as compensation for all the welding I'm having to do at the moment.

Fine sunny morning with no wind.
First thing I do when I open up my MacBook is check the weather forecast and like @sevenfourate I am also promised hurricane force winds today by the BBC weather.
Since I am going on a small ferry today it will probably just fly instead of sail.
First I go for a flu jab but there appears to be confusion as to whether I get a covid one or not. Time will no doubt tell.

I do have a hospital appointment on Friday but the forecast looks not too bad Saturday and Sunday so I may manage a trike run as the trike lives in my car unless I have large loads.
There is an outboard motor I need to bring back as it was on loan to my son who has now sold the boat but not sure if I can fit that in after loading up the food shopping.

I think we had a lot of overnight rain but it was nice and dry on my perambulation, and the blue skies show some promise.

Another day in work is about to commence.

Completely mundane. The downstairs loo is still dripping. Tried to fix it and made it worse.
Some shoddy plumbing 25 years ago has been exposed.
That's a morning lost faffing with Screwfix or similar and their stock always being available tomorrow.
That and the "those only come in 10's, mate"
