Bin's have bin emptied.

Started out as a nice mild and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard after the overnight rain, but it has just started raining again.

Slept well. Spent the morning backing up files, doing some writing, and have moved all the trays of apples out of the house and into the utility room behind the garage. The trays have been stacked in the order in which the varieties need to be used - one stack each for dessert and culinary apples. All being well, I should now be well stocked with apples until Easter-ish.

This afternoon's plan is to go to Aldi in town for a few bits - bread, milk, herbal teas, fruit that isn't apples and some fresh garlic. It should at least be somewhat cheaper than the Co-op in the next village along, which incidentally does NOT stock fresh garlic. I'm not up to going to Tesco just yet, and in any case, I still have a bunch of stuff that needs using (predominantly vegetables) before I go and do a full shop. Aldi, being smaller and quieter, will be less tiring and throw up fewer distractions.

Anyways, time for luncheon, methinks.

We did that twenty years ago and it’s a lot of hard work for me now. I bought the cheapest pressure washer available and it has worked well and a builder put me onto Almat washing liquid at £2.70 and it really works well but a hell of a lot of foam everywhere after but it washes away nicely.

I have a pressure washer but it is heavy to carry, and I find it difficult to use for more than a short time. I thought that if I used soap powder first, and a hose to remove the worst of the dirt, I could finish the job using a pressure washer for less time.

When you have finished yours you are free to start on mine and will include lodgings

As I am learning to dance, and sorting the garage, it may be a while before I can help you. I have lived here for over a quarter of a century.

It has been suggested that I could set up a shop selling fabric, yarn, bedding, books and diy tools etc.

Use something like Algon organic path cleaning you mix it up in a watering can, water it on and leave it. No mess, scrubbing or anything plus unlike many inc washing up liquid no damaging phosphates being shown about the place.

I use Algon .I can recommend it and affect lasts about eight to12 months A lot easier than pressure washing.

The only problem I had was having two our three consecutive dry days.
