Thank you!

The nights are really drawing in now. I went for a twenty mile ride, first proper dark ride of the winter but I always leave it until 7:30 or 8 if I'm doing an evening ride as there is less traffic.

I get up at 6.30 most days. Today was the first day that it was dark in the kitchen at 6.30.

Official sunrise in London was 6.50 and sunset at 6.53. So we have almost exactly 12 hours of daylight. After tomorrow we will be having more night than day!

Good morning from a cloudy and slightly soggy Suffolk.

Coffee number two of the day has just been made and I'm about to enjoy it while sat on the new sofa that was delivered this morning. After that I will have to try to get the pile of bits that made up the old one and are now in the back garden into the car and make a booking at the recycling centre/tip to get rid of them.

Meanwhile... Coffee News. I thought that my Dualit machine had gone *Fzzzt* so my morning eye opener was delayed by 5 minutes while I checked & changed the fuse.
All is good in the world, now 👍

I'm not sure I could have fixed that without first having my morning coffee.

Weather has cleared up nicely so been down to chivvy the bank about their non working ATM.
Thursday fixed perhaps as an engineer was waiting on a new part presumably from Outer Mongolia.

While outside the bank noticed empty pavement in both directions at least 5ft wide but loads of touroid wandering along the carriageway getting in the way of vehicle traffic. Weird.

Took the opportunity to go to the Post Office to get a renewal form for my Age Concession card. They want proof of residence here which nowadays can be a problem with all utility bills etc on the internet.
It would be possible to print out a copy if you had a printer ( which I do) but in the past copies were not accepted. I will present a hospital appointment and see what happens.
Since I am known to them they probably will not ask for proof anyway.

Which by the look of it is drying off nicely. Soon be time for a bit of of afternoon walk before it get's too dark. Then be time to see to Charlie if he's up to a bit of walk and hopefully he will fee like eating his tea.
